The idea of self-examination as stress management is not taught by very many stress management systems. Learning time management in the workplace is not learning stress management in the workplace, no matter how pretty they package it. A comprehensive stress management system has self examination as an integral part of the system. This helps you learn what areas you need to work on, to handle stress in the workplace.
Self-examination though is not enough. As part of a multi-component stress management system, self-examination allows you to evaluate the effectiveness of the other components in your battle against stress. Knowing what to do to relieve stress includes knowing what tools you have, and what tools you need, to do the job right.
